The works presented at the exhibition are connected through the same element of the artistic intention, namely the main focus putted by the artists on the limits of the medium of graphics. Another common feature of the works is also an artistic reflection about the space conceived as the central or the secondary topic. The title “Space of imagination” refers to the diversity of experiences, which are possible at the field where graphics is crossing over with the other artistic media and where the flat print becomes multidimensional.
The exhibition refers also to the question whether artist practices are possible to verify or evaluate by the objective criteria or merely should they be seen as a result of a subjective experiment in the very specialized field of human activity, which is traditionally not considered as art. Do artists have the right to speak on issues, which require the higher range of knowledge? Are their actions bringing good consequences into the field they are directly related to? Are they able to defend their universal value or they just vanish their sense in the general “cloud of subjectivism”?
